Sponsorship Opportunities and Recognition Programme

The Global Compact Office would like to offer Global Compact participants an exclusive opportunity to contribute to the success of the Leaders Summit by becoming a sponsor of the event.

As the largest event ever convened by the United Nations on the issue of corporate citizenship, the Leaders Summit will be a historic gathering. A Leaders Summit sponsorship thus offers your company a unique opportunity to reach top decision-makers from around the world and highlight your companies engagement in the Global Compact in a special way. Different sponsorship packages are available, as outlined below.

Sponsorship Packages

  • Patron Sponsor

    Cost: $ 50,000 USD per sponsor
    Maximum number of Patron Sponsors: 6

    Patron Sponsors will be acknowledged in the following ways (logo size proportional to level of support):

    • Your company's name and logo will appear in a dedicated section of the Leaders Summit binder, to be distributed to all participants upon arrival.
    • Your company's logo will appear on the Global Compact Leader's Summit website and other Leaders Summit promotional material.
    • Banners and posters with sponsor logos will be showcased at the conference venue.
    • Your company will be invited to include a full-page corporate advertisement (focused on corporate citizenship/sustainability issues) in the participant binder.
    • Your company will be invited to an exclusive sponsor/VIP reception.
    • Your company will have the exclusive opportunity to distribute and display corporate material in the dedicated Press Center. (Other companies will not be permitted to disseminate their corporate material at the Leaders Summit.)

  • Supporter

    Cost: $ 30,000 USD per sponsor
    Number of Supporters: 6

    Supporters will be acknowledged in the following ways (logo size proportional to level of support):

    • Your company's name and logo will appear in a dedicated section of the Leaders Summit binder, to be distrib uted to all participants upon arrival.
    • Your company's logo will appear on the Global Compact Leader's Summit website and all other Summit promotional material.
    • Banners and posters of sponsor logos will be showcased at the conference venue.
    • Your company will be invited to include a half-page corporate advertisement (focused on corporate citizenship/sustainability issues) in the participant binder.
    • Your company will be invited to an exclusive sponsor/VIP reception.
    • Your company will have the exclusive opportunity to distribute and display corporate material in the dedicated Press Center. (Other companies will not be permitted to disseminate their corporate material at the Leaders Summit.)

  • Environment sponsor

    Cost: $ 30,000 USD maximum
    Number of Environment sponsors: 1

    The UN Global Compact Leaders Summit 2007 aims to be carbon positive. The travel of over 1000 participants to the event will produce approximately 2000 tons of CO2 equivalents, which corresponds to 70 years of the average emissions of a household with three persons. In this regard, all participants of the event, upon registration, will be encouraged to offset their CO2 emissions with the purchase of a mixture of Gold Standard CERs (Certified Emission Reductions) and Gold Standard VERs (Verified Emission Reductions) for a total of $36.00 USD per person. Recognizing that not all participants will be in a position to cover these costs (i.e. Government, NGO officials), we are seeking an Environmental Sponsor who is willing to cover the cost of offsetting the outstanding emissions. The maximum amount the Environmental Sponsor will be required to pay to off-set the CO2 not covered by participants is $30,000 USD.

    The Environment sponsor will be acknowledged in the following ways (logo size proportional to level of support):

    • Your company's name and logo will appear in a dedicated section of the Leaders Summit binder, to be distributed to all participants upon arrival.
    • Your company's logo will appear on the Global Compact Leader's Summit website and all other Leaders Summit promotional material.
    • Banners and posters of sponsor logos will be showcased at the conference venue.
    • Your company will be invited to include a half-page corporate advertisement (focused on corporate citizenship/sustainability issues) in the participant binder.
    • Your company will be invited to an exclusive sponsor/VIP reception.
    • Your company will have the exclusive opportunity to distribute and display corporate material in the dedicated Press Center. (Other companies will not be permitted to disseminate their corporate material at the Leaders Summit.)

  • Transportation Sponsor

    Cost: $ 20,000 USD
    Number of Transportation Sponsors: 2

    Transportation Sponsors will cover the cost of transporting participants in luxury coaches both to and from the conference venue and to other Summit-related side events.

    Transportation Sponsors will be acknowledged in the following ways (logo size proportional to level of support):

    • Your company's name and logo will appear in a dedicated section of the Leaders Summit binder, to be distributed to all participants upon arrival.
    • Your company's logo will appear on the Global Compact Leader's Summit website.
    • Banners will display your company's logo on each of the coaches that will be used to transport participants.
    • Your company will be invited to include a half-page corporate advertisement (focused on corporate citizenship/sustainability issues) in the participant binder.
    • Your company will be invited to an exclusive sponsor/VIP reception.
    • Your company will have the exclusive opportunity to distribute and display corporate material in the dedicated Press Center. (Other companies will not be permitted to disseminate their corporate material at the Leaders Summit.)

  • Communications Sponsor

    Cost: $ 20,000 USD
    Number of Transportation Sponsors: 3

    Communications Sponsors will contribute to the costs of the following components of the communications infrastructure for the Leaders Summit:

    • The Leaders Summit Press Centre, to be set up in the vicinity of the General Assembly Hall at the Palais des Nations. Facilities include live video and audio feeds from the Summit proceedings, interview booths, fax and telephone lines, wireless Internet access, refreshments for journalists, etc.
    • The Leaders Summit website.
    • Promotional videos of leaders' statements and inspirational narratives of GC implementation, to be shown at the Summit and to be used for promotional purposes afterwards.

    Communications Sponsors will be acknowledged in the following ways (logo size proportional to level of support):

    • Your company's name and logo will appear in a dedicated section of the Summit binder, to be distributed to all participants upon arrival
    • Your company's logo will appear on the Global Compact Leaders Summit website.
    • Banners will display your company's logo in the Leaders Summit Press Centre.
    • Your company will be invited to include a half-page corporate advertisement (focused on corporate citizenship/sustainability issues) in the participant binder.
    • Your company will be invited to an exclusive sponsor/VIP reception.
    • Your company will have the exclusive opportunity to distribute and display corporate material in the dedicated Press Center. (Other companies will not be permitted to disseminate their corporate material at the Leaders Summit.)

  • Event Sponsor

    The Global Compact Office is also inviting companies to sponsor the gala dinner, welcome reception, lunch and coffee breaks scheduled throughout the Leaders Summit.

    Cost varies depending on event sponsored. Cost per sponsor outlined below:

    • Gala Dinner: $35,000 USD (4 sponsors)
    • Lunch on Day 1: $35,000 USD (3 sponsors)
    • Welcome Reception: $25,000 USD (3 sponsors)
    • Coffee Breaks: $20,000 USD (4 sponsors)

    Event sponsors will be acknowledged in the following ways (logo size proportional to level of support):

    • Your company's name and logo will appear in a dedicated section of the Leaders Summit binder, to be distributed to all participants upon arrival.
    • Your company's logo will appear on the Leader's Summit website and all other Leaders Summit promotional material.
    • Banners will display your company's logo at the speciic event site.
    • Your company will be invited to an exclusive Sponsor/VIP reception prior to the event.
    • Your company will have the exclusive opportunity to distribute and display corporate material in the dedicated Press Center. (Other companies will not be permitted to disseminate their corporate material at the Leaders Summit.)
    • Gala Dinner, Welcome Cocktail and Lunch event sponsor will also have the opportunity to give a brief (3 minute maximum) welcoming address to participants at the beginning of the event.
